We’re Johns Island’s home for yoga, Pilates, barre, dance, and functional fitness — and we’re a whole lot more than a place to work out. EBY is a community built on a simple belief: that movement belongs to everybody, and that every body that walks through our doors is worthy of being here exactly as it is.
We believe in everybody — that every person carries a spark only they can share with the world. We believe in every body — that it is a sacred vessel of limitless physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual potential, and that we have the privilege of discovering it together.
We believe yoga and movement have the power to heal, restore, empower, and unite. We believe everyone belongs — that every presence in this room is worthy and irreplaceable. We believe in community, because we were not designed to go through life alone. We believe in courage — in showing up, stepping beyond what’s comfortable, and discovering what’s on the other side.
Most of all, we believe in the journey forward. And that it starts with a single step.
EBY was founded on the idea that a truly welcoming fitness studio didn’t yet exist on Johns Island — a place where beginners feel as at home as seasoned practitioners, where every age, size, background, and experience level is not just tolerated but celebrated. We are a veteran-, LGBTQ-, and woman-owned studio, and our doors are open to literally everyone.
Whether you’re brand new to movement or you’ve been practicing for years, whether you live on Johns Island, Kiawah Island, or are just passing through the Charleston area — there is a place for you here.
Your first class is free. No pressure, no commitment, no experience required. Just show up. We’ll handle the rest.
“I absolutely love this clean and cozy little studio! Every yoga class I’ve been to has been awesome, and each instructor is warm, welcoming, and talented in their own ways. What I most appreciate is the supportive atmosphere. Everybody is truly welcomed here and it’s a safe space free from judgment or worry. I also love to see instructors taking each other’s classes. It’s so fun practicing alongside my favorite instructors and seeing them learn from and support each other. I’m so grateful for this positive and inclusive space.”
