Ancient Mayan ruins, a cenote that feels like stepping into another world, and a yoga practice held between the two — led by two teachers, Laura Kate and Margaret, who trained together long before they hosted together.
You won’t have to worry about the details. Food, lodging, transportation, and activities are already planned and waiting for you — leaving space for you to wonder about the beauty of Tulum instead.
Come with a friend, or come alone. Everybody belongs here either way.

Mornings move with playful, energizing vinyasa, led by Margaret. Evenings settle into restorative yin, led by Laura Kate. In between, afternoons open up for arm balance and inversion workshops (flexibility included, no experience required), an excursion to a cenote and the Mayan ruins, and an afternoon at the beach.
Beyond that — plenty of time to relax, restore, and just be. There’s always a hammock by the pool if that’s what you need most.

Not included: flights to/from Tulum, travel insurance, and personal expenses.

Laura Kate Means
I found yoga as a freshman in college, but it took thirteen years in the Army and a hard road back afterward before it became something more than a physical practice. Through the Warrior Surf Foundation, I found my way back to my body, my strength, and real community — and a year later, I completed my yoga teacher training and never looked back. Now my wife Julia and I own Everybody Yoga & Fitness, where I teach and remind people (myself included, most days) that they’re capable of more than they realize. Between three wild kids and a full life, I’ve learned to crave stillness — and I hope this retreat gives you some of that too.

Margaret Cotter
I love building creative, dynamic sequences — arm balances and inversions especially — and I’m always chasing that blend of strength, clarity, and mindful body awareness in my own practice. I earned my 200-hour certification in 2024 and added Aerial Yoga training in 2025, which reshaped how I think about alignment on and off the mat. Yoga has brought so much joy and transformation into my life, and I love nothing more than sharing that with the Everybody Yoga community.
Sometimes, a retreat is a great adventure to take with someone you know, but sometimes, a retreat is actually better when it’s just you. It’s sometimes a little scary to travel alone, but it can also be incredibly rewarding to have an adventure just for you, and Everybody Yoga will be here to support you on your journey.
Everything we offer is an invitation, just like any posture in a yoga class. All activities, while included in your retreat, are not required. We encourage yogis to take what they need and leave what they don’t — which could mean attending every offering, or taking a step back as needed.
Yes — we will send out arrival and departure times earlier so you know what to look for in your travel plans. For a more detailed itinerary, you will need to wait until the retreat is closer on the horizon, but do expect between 1–2 yoga classes each day alongside add-on yoga workshops where you can talk about challenges in your yoga practice with yoga instructors.
Our morning classes will lean towards an energizing vinyasa breath-to-movement flow. The classes build on ideas and concepts of poses, and you can stop where you feel good in the class — you are always welcome to pause or stay in a pose as long as you would like. Our instructors love more than anything when students listen to what their body is asking for that day, and that may mean following a different flow than the one being offered.
Our evening classes will be more restorative and tend towards a supportive yin class to set you up for rest after a full day.
Workshops will feature warm-ups and breakdown of different yoga postures followed by a cool down — and these will be discussion-based if students come with (or discover) questions.
Absolutely. This retreat is for all levels of yogis. It could be a great way to be introduced to your practice or the perfect time to dive deeper into what you have already built.
We will send out a packing list prior to the retreat. That being said, expect to pack a swimsuit for the pool and comfortable closed-toe shoes for the excursions.
